Joe, <For existing installations, this would mean the need to upgrade all their server licenses for software to the latest versions (when they are released) You are talking some serious bucks here for both software and thousands of hours of software installation, conversions of various scripts, changes of set up, lost manhours of users.> Well duh, it's no different from replacing existing servers with newer ones. If customers aren't willing to spend the cash for newer servers and newer software, then everyone is in trouble, from Intel to AMD to Sun to Microsoft to even Linux. <All this because P4 design team fcked up, and P4 can't run existing software well?> I think it's time we brought this discussion to a close.
