I worked for the Japanese for 7-8 years. In a nutshell, there are some excellent things Japanese management does, but some bad things too. I think a real focus on this topic needs to address all parts of the process, not just how good managements ideas are.

I don't know if its the norm, but every single Indian I have worked with has been top notch. I don't just mean grade A, but grade A++. I have formed a friendship outside of work with one dude, and I should consider myself lucky as I have learned much from him.

Maybe the engineers from the Indian Subcontinent -g- get here because they are the best.
