Rock nj: I think the Morgan Stanley "upgrade" of QCOM was a manipulative attempt to help them and their clients exit QCOM 10 points higher. QCOM's announcement that the European deployment of CDMA (3G) wireless technology for several years is ominous. Steve Milunovich, the global tech advisor for (?) Merrill Lynch hit the nail right on the head earlier this week when he issued a brief questioning the entire 3G deployment. The MSDW upgrade should not be taken as a sign that the brokerages are telling everyone to reenter tech stocks.
