good advice you gave ally about bumping the ram.

i would add that ally should check with the manufacturer to verify how much memory the system will accept.

i own an old dell 166mhz that came with 32mb of memory, but it would only take another 32mb for a total of 64mb. beyond that, per dell, the system would not be able to process the extra memory and would run slower.
