Greg,

This guy admitted a couple of months ago that he was Bob Brinker's son. Based on the content of his earlier posts, I believe he is legit.

As I said in an earlier post, I wouldn't be surprised if Bob Sr. lurked on these bbs. The problem is, if he started posting, he would surely be inundated with unlimited posts/questions, which would to some extent take away from the effectiveness/ratings of his show and newsletters.
Think of it this way: if he responded to even one post, people would inherently expect him to respond to every one of their subsequent posts. There is no way he could effectively answer each and every post/question--he'd be getting stupid questions like "What do you think Intel will do TOMORROW...Should I buy OEX calls in anticipation of the next economic forecast...yada yada yada..." And each time someone asked him something that he didn't respond to, he'd have five or ten detractors claiming he was "dodging" certain questions. For him to start posting on this forum would be a no-win situation.

For example, there is a guy who runs a gaming stock bulletin board forum on his web site. This guy is extremely knowledgeable on all facets of the gaming industry and writes a weekly newsletter. However, anytime someone asks him a stupid question--one not even worthy of a response--and he doesn't answer it, all the cat callers come out in droves on the bb saying that he is dodging a question. I've considered doing the same type of format on my own website. I think it'd be a lot of fun, but there is no way the NASD would okay such a thing (since I am a registered broker with the NASD)--too many compliance/legal issues involved.

Based on that, Bob is wise to steer clear from posting here. I'm sure by lurking, he gets a nice chuckle from some of our posts.

Gary
