The answer you seek is right before your very eyes: Slow adoption of services coupled with high capital expenditures is hurting the business case

BBFW is a lousy business. End of story. Except to add that Metricom has just pulled the plug on continuing rollouts of its undersubscribed system.

Every BBFW vendor and investor has been so mesmerized by the whizbang tech story that they've forgotten that profits and therefore stock prices are demand driven. No customers, no joy.
