What the Gartners and Forresters expensive reports of those forgot to tell was that, the same companies that were making WLL, were also making GSM. And they didn't want any poor man's wireless to become competition.

Thanks for the insight. Regarding Forrester, they've recently come out with a dire report on the lack of profitablity for 3G/UMTS license holders in Europe. To the extent of indicating a profit drought from 2007 through 2013. I'm wondering if you've seen the report and if you think this pessimism is warranted. TIA for any reply.
