The issue here isn't protecting "children from religious thought at all costs". It is prayer in public schools. Such activity essentially amounts to proselytization and a reasonable interpretation of the First Amendment is that that is unconstitutional. And the US Supreme Court has so held.

And whose religious thought is to be allowed in school? Catholic? Protestant? Isalamic? Hindu? Buddhist? Moonie? Hare Krishna? Satanist? Atheist?

If you pick one of the above and I am a member of another, why should you be allowed to use my compulsorily collected tax dollars to support your view?

Oh, and I am definitely not a liberal. At one time, being a political comservative meant being a defender of civil rights against the power of the government.

But when it comes to violence, and violent music or video that reflects pure evil than their tune changes.
I would think a teacher who promoted this in class would be fired. They certainly should be.

A web site was created to get rid of Dr Laura who was against the gays having access to the school but never advocated violence. Contrast that to Eminem who advocated violence but has no web site dedicated to his demise and gets hugged by Elton John.
So what? This is free speech, also protected by that First Amendment. Would you have the government say that private citizens should be prohibited from this? We're talking about public schools. That web site was not hosted on a public school server or paid for by one, was it?
