Hi PB....how are you doing? Are you still getting a lot of much needed attention?!!

Our son is doing just fine. The Ortho did not seem that concerned with the growth plate but more so with the way the bone was bulging up on his arm. He gave us a choice of just re-splinting and letting it heal or a plaster cast with him compressing the bone back down while forming the cast with his own hands. He said the first option would be ok but could possibly cause him problems later in life with throwing balls, etc. Reid asked him what would he do if it was his son and he said the plaster cast....so that is what we did! It did hurt him a little while the doctor compressed and molded but in the long run it will be better for him. We go back Monday afternoon to have an x-ray and see if the bone has stayed in place. I'm not sure what we do if it hasn't!!

Unfortunately they had a back order on plaster! The only choice available was pink and white.....so white it was! Doesn't really matter I guess....it is covered in signatures and getting quit dirty! What do you expect with a little boy that thinks he can still play in the Georgia clay?! <g>
