Maybe... perhaps the actual launch was a "disaster" but, come on... get real now... if you want to be honest about performance, everyone, (other than those determined not to believe it), knows that when software is optimized for the P4/RDRAM, performance is order of magnitude better. It is easy to optimize the software so, I'd say that it is just a matter of time before P4/RDRAM wins the upgrade cycle and becomes standard equipment.
