Iomega has better, cheaper and faster products than the ZIP 100. But,
it would not serve the profitability of the company and shareholders
to push the ZIP 100 into the background too fast. The ZIP 200, 400
and JAZ products are going to be down played and put into the
background for a while until the ZIP 100 has a sizable market share.

One reason that KE will reduce price of ZIP 100 is to increase drive
saturation quickly before demand and expectations for the better
products increases.

KE is following Intels footsteps. Build better mousetrap cheaper
and keep ahead of the competition. Right now with no immediate
competition in sight it would not behoove KE to surpass the ZIP 100
with better and cheaper products when he doesn't have to.

Greater profitability for Iomega means greater profitability and
share price for Iomega shareholders. That's important too.

There are going to be some very happy shareholders if the revenues
and earnings keep exploding. Let's not see too many products come out
too fast. KISS works - "Keep it simple stupid".

Saw the ZIP 100 in a HP Pavillion this weekend. Took a quick demo.
The product looks and works great. It's gonna be a hit. Doesn't
take up much space either. At least from the external view. Thinner
than a tape drive or 3.5 inch floppy.
