flapjack, Generally speaking the best and the brightest Engineers end up in the US and many are home grown. Engineering requires intellect and training and immersion technology participation experience. For this five minutes in world history individuals who grow up, live and are educated in the US have a hands down advantage in immersion technology participation experience.

In other countries the disparity between the have and have nots means smaller numbers have hands on with lots of stuff techno. Ultimately engineering is about seeing what's different between items and what's the same. American have the opportunity to know more about more items. In the mix of elements that make up the engineering mind this give a creative advantage to Americans. That's my theory.

Engineering = Art + Science

When the mix is right.

Magic is created in the Mind's Eye
