Getting that smaller cast is like having no cast at all. I had the shoulder to finger plaster cast for 6 weeks and the shorter fiberglass cast for two weeks. It took a few minutes before my elbow felt normal to bend.

After they removed the second cast I used a knife to scrape the dead skin off my palm. You can clean the cast with a damp cloth, just don't soak it. Damp is the word.
