Hi Charlie,

Short answer: no, you need two different chipsets. The 802.11b-based WLAN connection uses a different modulation (direct sequence, aka CDMA) and at a different frequency (2.4 GHz) than the Ricochet system (frequency-hopping at 915 MHz).

However, there is no reason that dual-functionality could not be designed in. Just like you have dual- and tri-mode phones, sometimes capable of performing both analog and digital modulation.

I think it may be some time before Ricochet is embedded within a device per se. It would make sense that this would not occur until the network has a great enough number of users to validate the investment of the device makers to put 'Ricochet inside.'
