Tied with the Clippers, the Pistons had the ball for a last shot in regulation.
Shot clock and game clock, ticking down, Jerry Stackhouse had the ball, the
top of the key, guarded loosely by Eric Piatkowski. Dribble, dribble, dribble.
With a second left on the shot clock, he passed to Jerome Williams in the
corner. No shot attempt. Overtime. Pistons lose. The wizened Darius Miles
was aghast: "We were just thinking, 'What the heck were they thinking.' "
