Ben: Once again, clear and helpful.

So, then, is it fair to conclude that in your judgement the key to any adoption of CDMA in Western Europe, prior to UMTS itself, is 1xevdv?

And thinking of hardball, will that mean that there will be an attempt to delay the approval and certification of 1xevdv standardization by 3GPP/GSMA and/or IMT2000?

Also what about the rest of the world?

Will Latin American or Asian GSM operators be more receptive to the possibility of 1x or 1xevdo, or will they insist on 3GPP/GSMA and/or IMT2000 standardization approval prior to their use - and/or as a practical matter wait for approved 1xevdv?

(Nextel and some Latin American TDMA operators are reported to be at least "testing" 1x for example)

Thanks.

Chaz
