yes. enjoyed that story very much.

i hope my recent negative outlook on the market and economy is not seen as whining. it's merely short term forecasting and does NOT relate to quality of life.

i used to have a job with the phone company that put me in a very negative environment as far as quality of life goes. i liked the work but the psychological environment was confrontational (union versus management). the pay and benefits were the only thing keeping workers tied to those jobs and most of them were miserable. i told myself, "go do something you love in a more life enhancing psychological environment... don't worry about the money... if you get yourself in debt, you'll just have to do more of what you love." i did just that and it was the best decision i ever made.

my risky moves at the wrong time in the market have gotten me deeply in debt but not so deep that i can't make the credit card payments. i'm very fulfilled and content, yet still hungry to produce. i still believe the internet and the global economy are at the heart of a revolution that will improve the lives of people all over the world. and even though we may be seeing some backsliding right now, we've had a taste of something better for all and nothing can erase that dream. any backsliding or hardship just serves to fuel the desire.
