Has anyone tried the Sonic Blue RioVolt or AVC Soul?
I just ordered the "AVC Soul Player" that was backordered and thinking about ordering the RIOVolt instead.

Both support ID3 tags

Both Have WMA compatibility

Both have stick figures

Both look the same

Both can be upgraded (firmware)

Same remote controls

etc.

However, I heard the anti-shock for AVC wasn't that good...

I'm giving my old Genica away (the first MP3 player...too big and clumsy ...but worked well) ...

It's strange.. the more I look at both players the more I think they are made by THE SAME MANUFACTURER.

I remember that the RIO was actually bought out by some Korean Company by Diamond Multimedia intially (not sure why this wasn't publicy disclosed? although Yahoo poster sfigured it out that summer...including yours truly)

Perhaps the same is happening here?
Or maybe it's an OEM deal...

They look strikingly similar although not entirely identicle

AVC Soul Specs

Manufacturer of Soul
