Not to be critical, but a few of his ideas do stick out, to wit:

- H2 rebound? He says yes. (Earlie says the man ought to get out of N.Y. once in a while). On this one, he is out to lunch. His provided reasons have NO foundation and are wishful thinking. "Nice sales and earnings growth in Q4",.... baloney.

- Young companies spending too much dough to grab customers. He thinks this now, but didn't last year. It's an accurate (under)statement.

- Rimm is a winner. All I can say is "Show me the customers" (that support this mad valuation). They are not there now, and I doubt that they will be. I can't find any broad-based interest in it except among some nerds (of which I am one,..... and I have no interest in it).

He "missed the overvaluation in the dot-coms and the excessive inventories in the tech sector last year". WOW! Like I said above, take a drive out into the world once in a while, my boy.

- Well at least he is short the opticals. (g)

- Transmeta is a lame duck. We agree on this one.

- He likes a semi equipment maker. Ouch. He also likes Brocade. Double ouch.

I'll match my results with his at year end happily. And I'll bet that Barrons doesn't call me for an interview. (g)

Best, Earlie
