GNU is developing a gcc that runs native in win32. For a page obtained from the gnu web site: gnu.org , their exists a page on cross compilers FAQ: objsw.com .

I hope this gives you some of the information you are seeking. The GNU assembler and linker are included in the binutils package. The FAQ will show you what you need to make a win32 or MSODS environment to compile GNU programs and applications like the linux kernel.
