I agree.....their position (at least as defined in your post) is a joke, and in my opinion it arises out of desperation. S.I. is willing to sacrifice integrity and overlook it's own rules in order to realize the incremental gain they THINK they are getting from the eyeballs that visit threads like hers; thus S.I.'s reference to "traffic" and "interest" in its reply to you. But not only is S.I. not sharing in the large fees that people wind up paying to her outside fee-based service, they are losing viewers who are disgusted with the blatant advertisements as well as those who DO subscribe and eventually realize what the deal is.
