Bombardier Posts Record 370 Aircraft Deliveries

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--FEBRUARY 26, 2001 - 08:21 EST
Bombardier announced today a new record of 370
aircraft deliveries for its fiscal year ended Jan. 31, 2001 as
compared to 292 in the previous year.

This year-to-year increase of 27% is well over the target set by
Bombardier Aerospace at the beginning of the year of a 20%
increase or 350 aircraft deliveries for fiscal 2000-2001.

This increase is mainly attributable to the regional aircraft
segment with 157 aircraft deliveries compared to 104 for the same
period last year. Deliveries of the CRJ* Series 100 and 200
reached 103 compared to 81 during 1999-2000. In addition, two of
the new 70-seat CRJ Series 700 aircraft were delivered before the
end of the fiscal year. Deliveries of turboprops reached 52
compared with 23, as follows: seven Series Q100 and 200 compared
to 16, 17 Series Q300 compared to six and 28 Series Q400 compared
to one.

In the business aircraft segment, 203 units were delivered
compared to 183 for the same period last year. Deliveries of
business aircraft were as follows: 36 Global Express* compared to
34, 38 Challenger* 604 compared to 40, 36 Learjet* 60 compared to
29, 67 Learjet 45 compared to 55 and 26 Learjet 31A compared to
25.

Furthermore, ten Canadair 415* amphibious aircraft were delivered
during fiscal year 2000-2001 compared to five the previous year.

Bombardier Aerospace ended the year with a solid backlog totalling
574 regional aircraft on firm order as opposed to 435 at Jan. 31,
2000. This backlog is comprised of the following: 326 CRJ100/200,
173 CRJ700, 10 CRJ900, four Q100/200, 28 Q300 and 33 Q400.

For fiscal year 2001-2002, Bombardier Aerospace has set a target
to increase deliveries by approximately 15% primarily based on the
continued ramping-up of production for the 50-seat CRJ and on the
first full-year of deliveries for the new 70-seat CRJ700.

Bombardier's financial results for the year ended Jan. 31, 2001
will be released on Mar. 15, 2001. The Corporation remains
comfortable with the First Call analysts' consensus earnings
estimate of $0.69 per share for the year just ended.
