I heard something on C-Span radio the other day that tells me that it will be impossible for Dubya to ever convince some people he won - a black speaker at a conference of black people, and I didn't catch who or what, was saying that Gore lost because he shouldn't have focused on the Butterfly Ballot and dimpled chads, he should have focused on blacks being kept from voting, that was how Bush stole the election. Now, I have yet to see or hear any reliable facts in support of that argument. I have heard, for example, some black people say that their name was put on the list of felons by mistake, or that their name wasn't on the voting roll by mistake - and the fact that they are black means what? That someone must have deliberately tried to disenfranchise them BECAUSE they are black. It must be a conspiracy.

There is a subset of people in this world who believe that they are being singled out for mistreatment when it's clear that what they are talking about is an accident - it's called paranoia. You can't reason with paranoids.
