In Mn. democrats are resisting even the most benign, common sense election fraud reform:

Earlier this month Secretary of State Mary Kiffmeyer proposed to make exercising the constitutional right to vote more difficult (Star Tribune, Feb. 8). Kiffmeyer's thin rationale for reducing voter participation is the electoral debacle in Florida.

Under her proposal all Minnesotans would be required to show picture identification along with their Social Security number to vote. Kiffmeyer claims these measures are necessary to combat voter fraud, yet she offers absolutely no evidence of voter fraud in Minnesota. Surprised? This secretary of state has consistently worked to decrease voter turnout, keep voters uninformed about the democratic process and move our state's election process into the past.
