What do you think of the possibility that some of the cDNA that INCY has in its database is "junk cDNA" (don't know if this is a real term) that is a transcription of a non-gene sequence and/or otherwise does not result in the production of a protein?

By the way, speaking of pseudogenes and junk DNA, the following is an interesting extract from a book by Mark Ridley called "Genome: An autobiography of a species in 23 chapters."

Seems kind of fun - actually reminds me of the old Computer Science game called Core Wars, where two programs compete for cycles and memory on a single (virtual) machine.
