Hi Mark, You asked: you are running win2000, correct? and did you correct the prob using the registry edit or the system.ini files?

No I'm still running Win95 on my ancient Pentium, which still does all I need it too. But I'm getting ansy and may go for a new system soon. I'm leaning toward Athalon 1.1gz (after the 1.3 comes out) with 2 nice big hard drives. The longer I wait the better everything looks in both price and performance, so I continue to stay with what I have until I have a real need for mo bettah.

As far as solving the startup problem, I used the registry edit method, but not directly. I used a program called Custom Startup to save the startup configuration I had and experiment with new ones until I found the offending entry.
