Hey Duh, I note they didn't sell the railroad company! Instead they spun Quest off. Just as Ampex should have done with iNextTV when internet IPO's were getting wild valuations. Yet another missed opportunity. Also it would have been dumb to sell off the telegraph business cause that business made money well into the 1960's I belive. So you are talking apples and oranges.

You know I am pretty sure that the Ampex excutives spend most of their time throwing darts.

Quest deal won't mean anything. Nobody will watch the boring Ampex videos.
