hi esteban thanks for the feed back. i was mixed up about which os you were running. sounds like you have found what you need with "a program called Custom Startup". in case you or anyone else wishes to look at another similar tool.... i (as well as others) have been recommending a win95 freeware utility called StartUp Manager 2.0 for a long time on this thread ( #reply-14872414 ). i run it on my win95 machine and it does a great job. sharewarejunkies.com "I'm getting ansy and may go for a new system soon" you're in good company feeling like that around here. good luck :) mark
