Rich,

Yes, there was lots to reply to.....

I honestly was just curious as to what thing were male bonding adventures. Being female, I knew what female bonding adventures are.....shopping anyone???!!!
I agree that boy children need male bonding time with their male parent...not a doubt in my mind about that.

Rich, I also agree that a 3 year old child can walk a mile or ride a tricycle twice as far, at times. I was just stating that I think there are times when they honestly cannot do it.

I have heard you mention your older sons previously. It is very nice that you are proud of them.
As for my comment about blue hair. It was a joke at the basketball tournament this weekend, that Emily could use wash out hair color in support of the team. One of the school colors is blue. (this was only a discussion, as it did not happen that she had blue hair)

I am sorry that the haircut ordeal was so horrible, it sounds it. It also sounds as if you were truly at the end of the line in how to manage the situation. I was merely suggesting how I might have dealt with it. I made those suggestions, not judging you, but just as a conversation between us. Obviously you had thought of many of the same things that I had...hopefully next time will be better for all of you!

I surely know that the adventure of parenting is full of challenges. I often say when it comes to parenting, talk to me in about 15 years when all mine are raised, then we will see how I have done. In the midst of the parenting adventure we can only hope to do what we believe is the best things for our children at the time. And with that will come both successes and mistakes....It is a tough job isn't it???
