you forgot to mention pII typo on this thread yet :-))
"At least in the gray market, the Athlon is far more popular than the PII/P4. It is unfortunate that just as AMD is hitting its stride in gaining the strongest competitive position it has ever enjoyed against Intel, the PC market is mired in its worst downturn in 15 years."
That should cost Intel some market share
