A bit more info for you LG:

The problem with ESignal in combination with Ensign for me was intraday histories. I trade stocks more than anything else. Ensign may be able to archive intraday histories, but on a demand basis, I could only get ten days.

I would imagine that this is now 30 days for Ensign - the limit of the eSignal client. I wonder when 60 days will come?

Just as an FYI, and this may not work for you or anyone else, but what I have done is determine which stocks trade 4 million shares or more on an average basis on NYSE and Nasdaq (averaged over 1 year), and I collect data on all of those issues.

90% of the time when I am interested in trading an issue, or someone asks me about an issue, its in my list. For my own trading purposes I do not trade anything on the US market that doesn't fall in this list. I like liquidity and daily volume.
