I agree with your post. I never was a believer in first mover particularly in retail. It is meaningless. My only point was Etoys was better managed than many other first movers.

To tell you the trut,

I do not see first mover being a major advantage in any business. Wards was a first mover in catalogue sales. I may need corrected but I believe RCA was in radio, etc.
