Bambs, you leasing out you gold again? Better not let the thread read that... Lease rates are meaningless to the spot buyer, and only a deterrent to futures and spec shorts. Even though it can create a covering, it is seldom important if the other side of the hedge is in Treasuries {and ramping faster}.... but maybe a ramp in treasuries can cause a covering in Gold futures to close out positions and thus create a ramp in lease rates. Hutch PS: You got any CSCO shares for Gold that you want to trade?
