I am going by what Chambers has said recently. They need the technology and they know it. But he came out and said that they would slow down purchasing new companies and that they were not planning on any big purchases just smaller startups. CORV even for CSCO is a fairly large company.

You may be right on the market reaction. The market may think that CSCO needs the technology bad enough that it would not penalize the stock. It would certainly fill a hole in the product line.
