Good point, BadTiming. There is still Human Factor to account for in all this. And he may even be embarrassed by so many traders buying shares by the millions just minutes before the surprise rate cut of January 2nd. So he may be gunshy about allowing the same thing to happen.

I've got to tell you. . . . when a private corporation runs your country's economy, such as the Federal Reserve System, which is considered to be primarily owned by the world's largest banking and brokerage institutions, does in the U.S. . . . . . it is quite hard to imagine there NOT being a leak in the actions they take.

But as I understand the mandate of the SEC [created to restore investor hope in stock valuations by putting up a wall of little regulations which would make the Wizard of Oz envious], such collusion would be beyond their scope. . . . so aside from abolishing the FED, there really is little that can be done about it. But that is a subject that is best left as a secret.
