All I am going to add to this as an unbiased perso is the following

A) Hindisght makes everything look easy....made the bulls and G and K'rs look great at one time and now hindisght is making the bears look great. My point, it is easy to sit here and now, look at the past and say...woulda, shoulda, coulda.....but the reality of it is in the long run, it means nothing. Bottom line is nobody knows who is going to be right, because nobody has a crystal ball that fortells what will happen, but we all have one that says what did happen. Next year or year after, maybe the G and Kr's will have been the smart one's...especially those that are adding at these low prices....or maybe in 5 years the bears will be proven right and stocks will be in the $hitter.....nobody knows and only history will decide a victor.

B.) with the above mentioned, so far history has predicated that buying quality for long term buy and hold has been the route to go. Doesnt mean that will still be the case, because again, hindisght is easy, but means very little. Very little being the key phrase here...although what happens in the past does not predicate what will happen in the future, it still is helpful in gaining slight insight....so far, over the long term, stocks appreciate more then they depreciate. I think in the long run, this will continue, but again, we don't know this for sure.

C) lastly, I have never found that anybody gains anything by thriving on anothers misery...." I was right you were wrong" games are childish and accomplish nothing. Rubbing anothers misfortune in their face, or laughing at anothers misfortune is just plain wrong and tells alot about an individual. me personally....I have been thru some rough times.....I dont wish what I've gone thru on anybody...not even my worst enemies. I hope everybody gets rich in the markets...shorts, longs, bears, bulls and etc....the more wealth created just makes it easy to keep creating more wealth. I wish everybody health and happiness in their life. I dont take pleasure watching somebody get killed in a stock anymore then I take pleasure in John being diagnosed with lung cancer. We all knew smkonking was bad, but did we laugh in his face after he was diadnosed or jump on his grave when he died???? You knew stock abcd was going down......why then does one revel with the I told you so's......Misfortune is misfortune. Nobody should wish it upon, or revel in the fact it happens to somebody.....even if that person cast the first stone....I see all the msft bulls over on sunw thread bashing sunw bulls...their excuse is the sunw bulls did the same to the msft bulls earlier in the year......has not anybody ever heard of "two wrongs don't make a right"? or it takes a bigger man to walk away, rather then retaliate like a child???

JMHO
