When things seem most awful and everybody has thrown in the towel, stocks tend to have hit bottom. But there are mixed indicators whether everyone indeed has thrown in the towel.

Who is this "everybody" they keep talking about?

It never would be "everybody". Sorry, I would think that would be obvious.

It seems they want to spread fear to get "as many as possible" out, so they can feel comfortable with buying.

Then they run it back up above the point "everybody" finally sold. Ooops.....left "everybody" in the dust saying "why did I sell at the bottom?"

DUH!!

BUT......."everybody" knows this now.......so, they keep trying, but there will be no classic case of capitulation, "thrown in the towel", this time.

JMHO!
