Re #1 talk radio station in U.S. is the #1 Internet radio station:

Twenty years ago, some "experts" were predicting that the Internet would put newspapers out of business. Hasn't happened. Read a story recently saying that, in fact, the medium that has suffered the most from the Internet is traditional TV. People continue to read newspapers, but fewer and fewer people are tuning in to the 6 o'clock or 11 o'clock local TV news shows.

Hence, the pairing of the Internet with talk radio should come as no surprise to anyone. Both are interactive media that appeal to the same people, namely, those that "need to be heard" or whose anger needs to be vented.
