I read both announcements. The BLLS announcement says;

"Time Warner Cable has selected Billserv as an preferred electronic billing provider ... agreement enables the individual Time Warner Cable operating divisions to establish relationships with Billserv, Inc". BLLS won the right to compete, or as blls says, it put them into a "favorable position".

biz.yahoo.com

eCOM announcements says:

"Princeton eCom Implements First Time Warner Electronic Billing".

princetonecom.com

There is a big difference. Princeton never even announced the fact that they were made a preferred electronic billing provider. I know there are other deals that Princeton did not announce. Why should they announce many deals. They (eCom) are not a public company and it would not help them out much. It might help out NCEH, but that is not really a primary concern of Princeton eCom.

Apparently both were selected as preferred electronic billing providers. But in the end, only Princeton has so far implemented a system. Which is why, at least in this division of Time Warner, Princeton eCom and BLLS/CKFR competed head to head and Princeton won.

I'll give you the fact that Time Warner has many more divisions that have not committed publicly to one vendor or another. But surely first mover advantage in Time Warner goes to the first company to implement a system.

So far all CKFR/BLLS has with Time Warner is the right to establish relationships . However, Princeton has the actual business in this one division. And it is the first division to make a commitment to either vendor of EBPP

Do you agree with my assessment?
