Bambs, what a lot of people don't realize is that when the FASB takes away pooling for mergers, the overall value of deals will decrease significantly as mergers and acquisitions will have to either be done more in cash, done in stock at the immediate expense of Return on Equity, or not done at all.

I would not want to be a Tech Venture Capitalist, Tech Investment Banker, Tech Law firm, or tech employee right now as the fees generated from lofy market valuations will come crashing down as the use of stock for compensation will be frowned upon in all regards.

Ergo, would Cisco have bought Arrownet for $6 billion in cash when their revenues were 1/100 of that? I think not.
