looking at the BKX over the past year or so, it has had several sharp sell-offs that were ultimately recovered...but it never managed a bona fide break-out over the '98 high (only a marginal break-out that has since failed)...it's a crucial index to watch. SHOULD it break out for good, the bull's lease of life will have been renewed most likely. but i think it looks tired...
