Ivan,

Thanks for the cautionary words. However, averaging down could also be viewed as a variation of dollar cost averaging. Since I feel that JTS will work out for the best in the long run, I'm not swayed by it's current weakness. (Not that I'm the masochistic type alluded to earlier on this thread, mind you!) :^)

Although JTS is a major holding of mine, I am in not "betting the ranch. backing up the truck. or putting every last dime" into JTS. Hence, I am not fearful of ending up in the poorhouse should JTS not go as we would like.

Could JTS go belly up? Sure they could. However, I'm "betting" that they won't. If you are Long JTS, then you are "betting" likewise. Naturally, the risk is high - but so is the potential reward.

As far as destroying my self-confidence, well that's not very likely! Should JTS not work out as anticipated, I will chalk it up as a lesson learned, consider the experience as part of my continuing tuition in the school of life and move on. That's the chance I'm willing to take.

BTW, do you believe that JTS is "bad money"?
