NT technology officer resigned; Why? I hope they recognized the convergence technology will require total change in NT direction.

ANTC has not announced any obsolescence planning yet to move into convergence technology and faster speed cable modem. Are they waiting for Scientific Atlanta and General Instruments to redesign the 100 mbs set top boxes? In order to use long copper wires, low frequency multiple access is ideal solution. Ten 10 mbs TDMA, CDMA, or GPRS to achieve 100 mbs maybe a simple solution for copper; then standard 100 mbs and gbs on fiber. Some smart partnering is necessary at this stage. Cisco, 3com, IBM, Lucent and others all have to change?
