I wonder if there is one positive piece of news that can help the market! If Mr. Greenspan admits to the Congress that we are in Recession (since he didn't know 15 days ago during the G-7 meeting!!!) then we may have a total collapse! Here on CNBC - Europe out of London they were saying that it is doubtful if he cuts the rates before he meets the Congress. Such move would have caused a panic and would have meant that he is being conditioned by the Equity Market. They went on to say it is only right that he waits on the todays data and then cut the rates!!

Paul, the question that I keep asking myself is that what if he cuts the rates and the NAZ keep dropping? Do you remember the last rate cut in January? Feds cut the rates and on the same day the NAZ closed in red! Maybe what this the marekt needs is an speedy approval of the Mr. Bush's Tax Cut plan? I really have stopped guessing! Maybe there are people with so.called smart money that are making a ton of money with their puts and they keep pushing the market down? the money mangers that hire analysts!

NAZ reminds me of my sick puppy with intestinal problem. Didn't eat or drink for 10 days. We gave him up for the dead. Then one morring he began to eat! A miracle it was; this market needs a miracle! gg

Kind regards

Yaacov
