So you disagree with "Improving education across the country should be our number one goal." (note I meant this in the context of schools and education so if your number one goal is protecting the environment or something similarly distant from education that doesn't mean you have to disagree)
Do you disagree that in most cases services are provided either with higher quality or at a lower cost or both when there is competition rather then a monopoly provider?
Do you disagree with the statement "Vouchers would make it posible for students in the worst schools to escape." I am not surprised by your oposition to vouchers or by your disagreement with my other points but that you disagree with these three points does surprise me.

your whole frame of reference is weird

My frame of reference is that the market usually provides services better then the government. I don't think that it always does esp when the market solution is not really a free market but a private monopoly or some other setup where competition is restricted.

how much time do you actually spend in schools?

Recently? very little.
