How many companies are experiencing "negative growth"?

I just see growth estimates being trimmed, and everyone acts like the Great Depression II is just around the corner.

We feel the pain more given our proximity to the market, but the market is manic-depressive (to say the least!!) As high as we were in March 2000, we're as low in March 2001. Somewhere in the middle is reality.

Just because many of us have had our wings burned off, does not mean that John Q. Public has. We feel the pain (depressive), just to the same extraordinary degree that we felt the pleasure (manic). The reality is that the true value of the NASDAQ Comp is somewhere between 5000 and 2100.
