February 18, 2000 -- CLEARWATER, Fla.-- Beverly Hills Ltd., is launching a new web site, to further expand the services available on the golf portal, Marc Barhonovich, chief executive officer, announced today. The new site features golf artists' work for purchase and customized commissions.
Beverly Hills Ltd., introduced the web site and its first featured artist, Garrett Turner at the PGA 2000 Merchandise Show, February 4 - 7 in Orlando, Florida. Garrett Turner's original works were displayed for the first time at the Show with tremendous response. Beverly Hills Ltd. signed a contract for the exclusive rights to all Garrett Turner's original golf artwork.
"Everyone at the Show was overwhelmingly receptive to [Garrett Turner's] work, and artists were excited by the cross-marketing opportunities GlobalGolfArt.com has to offer through Beverly Hills Ltd.'s subsidiaries such as The Golfer magazine, Golf Shoes Plus and www.GlobalGolf.com,'' said Barhonovich.
New golf artists will continue to be added to the web site, as Beverly Hills Ltd., seeks out additional artists. The site is not limited to artists working only in print/paint mediums, but will add golf artists using sculpture, photography and other mediums.
"The site will be retail-commerce ready within the next 30 days, as we continue development and signing of new artists,'' said Barhonovich. ``We are adding a commercial business-to-business section that will enable green grass accounts and retailers to order directly.''
Garrett Turner tapped into the unexplored market of ``family'' golf art. By blending the grace of the time-honored sport and the beauty of the lush course landscapes with touching moments between family members and friends, Turner creates a style of art like no other. Working from photographs, Garrett Turner creates lasting memories captured in vibrant watercolor.
Now, Beverly Hills Ltd.'s ``Club and Resort Commission Program'' offers a unique opportunity to retail customized watercolor portraits of guests and their family members on favorite fairways. In addition to personalized originals, green grass accounts can offer a customized line of reproductions from Turner on the club's own pick of holes. Once commissioned by a course, Turner will work with them to create a unique series of prints to be reproduced as posters, postcards and other forms of resort or club memorabilia.
