Mark- If you haven't tweaked your system already you need to do that because MS operating systems are not optimised for broadband at all unless some settings are changed in the registry. This is the best one out there (I've tried them all)and your performance will improve considerably, mine changed ten fold. student.ipfw.edu The other thing you have to do is turn off the dumb proxy servers and choose direct connection to the internet in preferences. The proxy servers are ridiculously slow when accessing unique content. The third thing that slows you down is not flushing your cache on a regular basis. It slows you down because it takes some amount of time for your system to compare files you are calling up with those in the cache when the cache gets really large. My apology in advance if you've done all these things and you are still getting lousy performance. -Grace
