PeopleSoft and Andersen Consulting Unveil Federal Financial Software Strategy BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 1997-- Leading Application Provider and Global Consulting Organization to Deliver Financial Applications to the U.S. Federal Government This is the heading for a news release regarding PeopleSoft. I'm not sure how to paste in a URL link but I'm sure most of you know how to get Business Wire complete articles. One of the items addressed is Year 2000 compliance; I understand from other sources that the Gov't is woefully behind in addressing Y2K issues in legacy systems, etc. I would also suspect that this move into governmental accounting would be relevant to states, etc. due to similar accounting issues.
