Current price will look dirt cheap a year from now for most of the techs that have experienced a 75-80% decline. On the other had they don't have to drop much to get to half of their current price and the opportunity to buy twice the number of shares with today's value.

The one lesson I will take from this is the weak relationship between the value, product leadership, market share on the one hand and the stock price at any give moment. I first had a taste of this in a discussion of Newbridge Networks-- which was about to suffer a stock collapse-- with a knowledgeable poster who thought all was well because of its switching equipment with which they filled several screens.

Despite the switches Newbridge dropped from about $45 to 28 and I believe has disappeared.
